The time had come to be,
to vacation on the open sea,
Booked with the line Celebrity.
Planned over a year in advance,
Waiting for this very chance,
before the ship heads toward France.
Headed down to Tampa's Cruise Port,
The night before with sleep falling short,
wide awake at the cheap resort.
Free breakfast went fairly quick,
The waffle iron took just a bit,
with the batter cup a perfect fit.
No bacon , sausage, or eggs to be had,
which made some guests very sad,
but we laughed at the guy who got mad.
You must turn in your breakfast slip,
we had it ready with our tip,
but he oh man was not equipped.
How dare you ask me for a slip,
this Father was quite a trip,
She held her hands to her hip,
and made him go fetch it quick.
He cussed and moaned out loud,
To the comments from the crowd,
such behavior isn't allowed,
With his and other kids around.
Off he went kids in tow,
Wonder if he should know,
The bad example he did show.
Ready we got for the van,
Amazed at the strong short man,
RLoading heavy luggage like he can.
Jammed in he did load,
To the brim truth be told,
Not a single more it could hold.
Off we went to the port,
Past where Tampa holds court,
The ride was fairly short.
Offloaded where Porters await,
Friendly but fast was their trait,
Pointing us to the passenger gate.
Up the ramps and checked in,
This is where and finally when,
Time aboard the ship does begin.
To our rooms and drop off bags,
Then to lunch by zigs and zags,
Before hunger begins it's nags.
Walking around the lunch feast,
I notice the smell of bread and yeast,
Fruits, meats but the vegetables least.
We found a spot by the glass,
The tables cleared and cleaned so fast,
By the workers who were top class.
I'll stop right here I'm going long,
Even though it's going strong,
Its not supposed to an endless song
The rock has rolled, the stone has turned,
Twas foretold,
